ADHD Assessment Package (Adults 18+)

The assessment for ADHD is a process conducted over 4 sessions with an experienced psychologist. The psychologist will ask you questions and administer questionnaires about your background, educational history and aptitudes and noted changes in your cognitive ability (ie memory, focus, concentration, distractibility) to determine if you may have ADHD or other related problem.

Included in the ADHD assessment:

·       4 x 1-hour clinical consultations

·       Administration of ADHD self-report and other validated measures (for yourself and family members), and Mood and Psychological Profiling Tests

·       Scoring of above measures and comprehensive Assessment Report including recommendations for further assessment if necessary and/or treatment options.

# Please note, Psychologists do not prescribe medication. (The above report can be provided to a psychiatrist and/or GP for medical treatment.) 

Costs: $1100.00 (Includes 4 in person sessions plus subsequent 2-3 hours of report writing.) 

 

ADHD assessment package (Children)

The assessment for ADHD is a process conducted over 4 sessions with an experienced psychologist. The psychologist will ask you and your child questions and administer questionnaires about the child’s background, educational history and aptitudes and noted changes in your cognitive ability (ie memory, focus, concentration, distractibility) to determine if they may have ADHD or other related problem.

There are two assessment options for ADHD assessment for children.

1.     Basic

2.     Comprehensive

Basic

Included in the ADHD assessment:

·       4 x 1-hour clinical consultations

·       Administration of ADHD self-report and other validated measures (for yourself and family members), and Mood and Psychological Profiling Tests

·       Scoring of above measures and comprehensive Assessment Report including recommendations for further assessment if necessary and/or treatment options.

Costs: $1100.00 (Includes 4 in person sessions plus subsequent 2-3 hours of report writing.) 

Comprehensive

Included in the ADHD assessment:

·       4 x 1-hour clinical consultations

·       Administration of ADHD self-report and other validated measures (for yourself and family members), and Mood and Psychological Profiling Tests

·       Administration of a 2 hour cognitive test (WISC-IV) which provides a more complete assessment of attention and cognitive strengths and weaknesses that is helpful for diagnostic clarification and treatment plans.

·       Scoring of above measures and comprehensive Assessment Report including recommendations for further assessment if necessary and strategies for parents, child and school.

Costs: $1820.00 (Includes 4 in person sessions, 2 hours of cognitive assessment plus report writing and includes 1 hour feedback session.) 

 

 Children’s IQ Assessment

The purpose of conducting an IQ assessment is varied, but often relates to determine levels of intellectual functioning including whether a child meets the criteria for an intellectual disability. It can also form part of the assessment for ADHD, Autism, learning difficulties and determining whether academic adjustment and supports may be useful.

Included in the IQ assessment:

·       Administration of a 2 hour comprehensive cognitive assessment (WISC-IV)

·       Scoring of above measures and comprehensive Assessment Report including recommendations for further assessment if necessary and strategies for parents, child and school.

Costs: $780.00 (Includes 1 in person 2 hour cognitive assessment administration plus scoring, report and 1 hour feedback.)
