I'm the principal and founder of PsychWest with a passion to help you break free from limiting patterns so you can live your best life.

I'm a Clinical and Counselling psychologist with over twenty years of experience.

I also provide mentoring for Psychologists wanting to create a sustainable and profitable private practice.

As a warm and empathic psychologist with a holistic, person-centred approach, I provide a safe space for clients to explore a range of issues. Together, we identify your unique strengths and utilise evidence-based strategies to facilitate increased insight and lasting change.

I work with clients of all ages and backgrounds for assessment and therapy. I have a special interest in perinatal mental health and attachment. I am a registered Circle of Security Parenting facilitator. I also work with ADHD, depression, anxiety, parenting and school related issues.

Operations Lead

I’m an empathic psychologist who uses a client-driven, collaborative, and holistic approach to therapy. I believe that therapeutic change must be based on a trusting and empathic therapeutic relationship and I work to provide a space where my clients feel safe and heard. I implement evidence-based interventions to help facilitate change and insight. 

I work with children, adolescents, and adults across the lifespan for assessment and intervention. My areas of interest include depression, anxiety, relationship issues, autism, ADHD, sexuality and gender diversity, life transitions, Autism and cognitive assessments. I am also trained in EMDR.

I am a provisional psychologist who provides a gentle, supportive and compassionate approach to therapy and assessment.  I believe in creating a collaborative and safe environment for clients and use a person-centred perspective to assist individuals and families in utilising their strengths to deal with complex issues and emotions. My own intersectional experience helps provide a unique insight and empathy to support clients through their therapeutic journey.  I work with clients across the lifespan including children, adolescents, and adults. Areas of interest include Autism, ADHD, gender diversity, anxiety, depression, and chronic illness. I am also trained in Schema Therapy.

Natalie Pickles

Psychologist

I am a psychologist who offers a caring and non-judgemental space to explore client concerns. I aim to build a strong collaborative therapeutic relationship to support clients to meet their individual needs. I use a range of evidence-based interventions such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Internal Family Systems (IFS).

I use a strengths-based approach to work with older children, adolescents and young adults for intervention. My areas of interest include anxiety, depression, emotional dysregulation, self-harm, and behavioural concerns. I also provide assessment of ADHD, Specific Learning Disorders, Giftedness and Autism to clients of all ages.

 

Michelle Ooi

Registered Psychologist

I am a registered Psychologist who utilises a gentle and personalised approach to therapy. When meeting new clients, I understand that it can be a daunting and vulnerable experience. Therefore, I conduct sessions at the client’s pace to promote expression, insight and learning. I provide a comfortable and non-judgemental space for a diverse range of clients, including gender-diverse, neurodivergent, and culturally diverse populations. I have extensive experience in the disability sector, and years of experience working with a variety of clients.

My areas of interest include anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship conflict, difficult life transitions in young adulthood, self-esteem, and gender dysphoria. I currently work with children (13+) and adults and use a combination of evidence-based interventions including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT; including trauma and mindfulness based) and Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT). 

Arielle Scott

Provisional Psychologist

I am a provisional psychologist who brings a warm and empathic approach to therapy and assessment. I have experience working across the lifespan and tailor each session for the individual needs of the client using a range of evidence-based interventions. I have over 13-years experience working with individuals with a disability, along with their families and carers, including as a director for NDIA. I always aim to work collaboratively with the client to help them achieve their therapeutic goals.

I have a particular interest in perinatal and attachment mental health and child, adolescent and family psychology, particularly couples. I can provide ADHD assessments and cognitive assessment to children using the Wechler Intelligence Scale for Children (WISC) and cognitive assessment for adults using the Wechler Adult Intelligence Scale (WAIS).

Provisional Psychologist

I am a provisional psychologist currently completing a Master of Professional Psychology at Curtin University. Using a collaborative and evidence-based approach to therapy, I strive to create a safe and non-judgmental space in which clients feel supported in exploring and working towards their goals. I appreciate the importance of building a strong therapeutic relationship and tailoring interventions to each client’s specific needs for achieving positive therapeutic outcomes.

I work with individuals from all backgrounds and across the lifespan including children, adolescents, and adults. My areas of interest include depression, anxiety, stress, obsessive-compulsive disorder, emotion regulation difficulties, self-esteem, relationship issues, and life transitions and adjustment.

I am a warm and empathetic counsellor dedicated to providing a safe and non-judgmental space for my clients. Trained in the person-centered approach, I prioritize unconditional positive regard, ensuring each client feels heard, valued, and understood. My practice is grounded in the belief that therapy is about building a genuine connection beyond diagnostics, allowing clients to explore their concerns in a secure environment.

I excel in understanding cultural diversity and working with clients from various cultural backgrounds. I believe that cultural understanding is essential in fostering empathy, which can significantly enhance the therapeutic alliance and facilitate healing.

Specializing in trauma counselling, I employ evidence-based interventions tailored to each client’s needs. I work collaboratively with clients, helping them navigate their experiences and facilitating positive changes in their well-being.
